quien dice que 13 asesinos es una de las mejores películas jamás filmadas sobre
samuráis, además de un brillante trabajo del siempre polémico Takashi Miike.
Desde
mi humilde punto de vista, ni es una cosa ni la otra. En primer lugar, la
película comete un error ante el que todo el mundo está de acuerdo: La primera
hora de metraje y la última no se corresponden.

El
film comienza mostrando oscuridad en sus imágenes y en lo que relatan, con un
guión espeso (pero muy bueno) que avanza lentamente, dándonos a conocer
personajes y motivaciones. Las escenas de este primer tramo están rodadas con
calma, de forma elegante y muestran un mundo creíble. No llevaba vistos más de
40 minutos y ya pensaba que estaba ante toda una obra maestra del cine Japonés.
Pero
entonces comienza la segunda hora de metraje, donde ya no impera esa imagen que
recuerda al mejor cine negro. También desaparece el realismo, y la coherencia
de los magníficos textos de los personajes…….se convierte, sin comerlo ni
beberlo, en algo similar al cine de Jet Li (del que soy admirador).
The film begins by showing darkness in their pictures and what they relate, with a screenplay thick (but very good) that progresses slowly, letting us know characters and motivations. The scenes of this first section are filmed quietly, elegantly and show a believable world. I had not seen more than 40 minutes and thought it was at all a masterpiece of Japanese cinema.
But then begins the second hour of footage, where it no longer dominates the image that recalls the best film noir. It also eliminates the realism, and the consistency of the magnificent texts of the characters ....... becomes, without eating or drinking, in something like the Jet Li film (of which I am a fan).

que lo entendáis, es como si a El Padrino de Coppola, a mitad del film, lo
convertimos en The Warriors, y la peli acaba con una pelea callejera de 40
minutos entre miles de gangsters. Las dos obras son buenas (sin entrar en
comparaciones), pero no casan.
Esto
es lo que lastra por completo a la cinta, donde una parte del público lamentará
y se aburrirá con la primera parte del metraje, mientras que la otra mitad hará
lo propio con la segunda. Y esto se puede ver en cualquier foro, siempre hay un
“pero” en esta película.

es que el principio sea mejor que el final (Aunque yo lo prefiero), o el final
superior al inicio, es que son los mismos personajes con distinto tratamiento:
Al principio son humanos, creíbles, profundos….y al final se convierten e
superhéroes del Japón feudal.
Si
todo el metraje fuera como el principio, estaríamos ante una película que
superaría inclusive a Los 7 samuráis de Kurosawa. Y si todo el film se moviera
acorde con el tratamiento del final, estaríamos ante la mejor película de
batallas de samuráis (con carácter ficticio) de la historia.

If the whole film was like the beginning, this would be a movie that would surpass even to the Kurosawa 7 samurai. And if the whole film to move in line with the treatment of the end, this would be the best film of samurai battles (with fictional character) of the story.

no he disfrutado con la segunda parte pues, como ya os comentaba, no casa con
la forma en la que se inicia el film, y nos muestra a 13 luchadores que se
enfrentan a un ejército de 200…..aunque si contamos las muertes que provocan,
seguramente acaben con más de 1000…Es flipante a nivel de ficción, y pocas
veces se ha filmado una masacre similar (por no decir nunca) pero es
anticlímax.
Miike
es un gran director, y lo demuestra durante casi toda la película (olvidándonos
por el momento de esa extraña mezcla), con excepción de algún artificio digital
(Cierta escena con toros es para llorar) que estropea el realismo imperante
hasta el minuto 80 (aproximadamente).

fotografía y el sonido son excelentes, así como las actuaciones, que resultan
fabulosas ante cualquiera de los personajes. Si no hubiera esa extraña fusión
de géneros, la película de Miike sería insuperable. Bien como largometraje de
acción a raudales, o como relato serio inspirado en esa era y lugar.
La
historia que nos narra es bastante simple (aunque de inicio es confusa):
Ciertos personajes se oponen ante la posibilidad de que el jefe de uno de los
clanes más poderosos pueda llegar a convertirse en Shogun. Este antagonista es
un psicópata sanguinario que tiene atemorizado a medio Japón. Así pues, los
héroes reclutan a un grupo de samuráis dispuestos a luchar por esta causa, la de acabar con su vida, aun
a sabiendas de que cuentan con todas las de perder.
The picture and sound are excellent, and the performances, which are fabulous with any of the characters. If I had this strange fusion of genres, Miike's film would be insurmountable. Well as exciting action feature, or as serious story inspired by that era and place.
The story he tells is quite simple (although home is confusing): Certain characters are opposed to the possibility that the head of one of the most powerful clans can get to become Shogun. This antagonist is a murderous psychopath who has terrorized through Japan. So heroes recruit a group of samurai ready to fight for this cause, to end his life, even knowing that they have everything to lose.

papeles principales están muy bien definidos, pero 13 protagonistas son
demasiados, y a la mayoría no les llegaremos a conocer en profundidad. Aunque es
lógico.
Miike
tiene obras mucho más poderosas y originales que 13 asesinos, donde deja muy de
lado sus maneras y parece querer experimentar otras formas más comunes a las
suyas. No es un mal trabajo, pero todos encontraréis el problema que os he
estado citando.
The main roles are well defined, but 13 players are too, since most do not get to know in depth. Although it is logical.
Miike has works much more powerful and original that 13 murderers, which makes it quite aside their ways and seems to want to experience other common ways to theirs. Not a bad job, but all find the problem that I have been quoting.

Para
finalizar la crítica me gustaría comentar dos cosas:
1)Recomiendo esta película sin dudarlo, pues es seguro
que os gustará el principio o el final, pero todo amante de la representación
del Japón feudal debe verla.
2)El final de la película es uno de los más grandes
absurdos de la historia del cine…..atentos al hombre inmortal…y no es un fallo
de montaje.

1) I recommend this film without hesitation, it is certain that you will like the beginning or the end, but every lover of the representation of Japan must see.
2) The end of the film is one of the greatest absurdities of film history ..... watch the man who is immortal ... and not a mount failure.

Yo soy de los que prefiere la parte final de la película, pero tienes razón, parecen dos películas rodadas por dos directores diferentes. Y el hombre inmortal es una tontería de las más grandes.

ResponderEliminarLo del hombre inmortal se nota a la legua que es para dejar al espectador en estado de shock, pero solo produce desconcierto y es una de esas preguntas sin respuesta (algo demasiado recurrente en el cine actual, que demuestra una imaginación "a medias")
